Kacey Musgraves's Archival Versace Butterfly Dress Is Vintage Heaven

She performed two bona fide jams on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Wednesday.

Kacey Musgraves has spent the last six months following the release of her blissful third studio album, "Golden Hour," winning us over with her Graceland-glam-disco aesthetic. She loves a jumpsuit, a flare and a sequin, as well as anything with fringe or metallics. To which we say: same! Watching her wear clothes is so much fun, like eating an all-marshmallow bowl of Lucky Charms without the ensuing sugar crash, and the same can't be said about a lot of her contemporaries.

On Wednesday, ahead of her upcoming "Oh, What a World" tour, Musgraves swung by "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" to perform two songs from "Golden Hour": "Love Is a Wild Thing" and "Wonder Woman." For the occasion, Musgraves wore an archival 1995 Versace butterfly dress, complete with two hip-high leg slits and a grommet-adorned bodice. It's both on-brand for her rainbow-coated personal style as well as on-brand for her discography; "Butterflies" is the name of the third track on "Golden Hour."

Musgraves's stylist Erica Cloud accompanied the look with strappy sandals (with more grommet detailing), while makeup artist Carlene K worked with a shimmery, bubblegum eye palette. Hairstylist Giovanni Delgado kept her signature, waist-length jet-black hair stick-straight — all the better to swing around when jamming on the guitar.

If this is any indication of what Musgraves has in store for tour, well, we can't wait.
