Ever since announcing her engagement to Prince Harry, the world's eyes have been fixed on Meghan Markle — and her style. We'll be following the Meghan Markle Effect™ with our column, "Meghan Markle Wore a Thing."
Though Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are technically the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, they didn't make their first official royal visit to Sussex as a couple until Wednesday. During their outing, the duo met with students at several schools and universities and viewed a rare copy of the American Declaration of Independence — and the Duchess, of course, did all of the above in style.
She wore a forest green leather pencil skirt by Boss for the occasion, paired with a Gabriela Hearst bag and a button-up blouse by & Other Stories in the same hue. To counterbalance all that green, the Duchess slipped into a pair of nude Stuart Weitzman stilettos and a cream-colored cashmere coat by Emporio Armani. While a few parts of the outfit are currently sold out, those wishing to emulate the Duchess's style are still in luck: different colors of the Gabriela Hearst bag are still on sale. And if a $4,995 handbag is a little bit out of your price range, perhaps try for the Duchess's blouse instead, which retails for $99 and is still available on the & Other Stories website.
