Ever since announcing her engagement to Prince Harry, the world's eyes have been fixed on Meghan Markle — and her style. We'll be following the Meghan Markle Effect with our column, "Meghan Markle Wore a Thing."

Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle and her husband, Duke of Sussex Prince Harry, continued their Australian tour with a visit to MacArthur Girls School and a meeting with Prime Minister of Australia and his wife. At MacArthur Girls School, the Duchess shared that her first job was "taking out the trash," according to a report by People, and told the young women, "You guys all remind me so much of myself when I was growing up."

For a day that involved surprising teen girls at school and meeting the political leader of a nation, the Duchess wore an elegant A-line dress from Roksanda in navy with a contrasting stripe at the bottom in periwinkle blue. She paired the dress with suede Stuart Weitzman pumps, a simple white gold bangle and topaz stud earrings from Birks.
