Ever since announcing her engagement to Prince Harry, the world's eyes have been fixed on Meghan Markle — and her style. We'll be following the Meghan Markle Effect with our column, "Meghan Markle Wore a Thing."

Over the course of their Australian tour so far, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle — aka the Duke and Duchess of Sussex — have had their fair share of outfit changes. And what has been especially delightful about their many (many, many) looks from Down Under is that oftentimes the are a bit more dressed-down and casual, involving breezy beachwear, sneakers and jeans. It's refreshing to see the royal couple look a little more laid-back, especially given their whirlwind events schedule (and the fact that the Duchess recently announced she is expecting).

During a recent outing at Kingfisher Bay Jetty in Fraser Island, Australia, the Duchess wore pretty much exactly what we'd want to be wearing if we were in Australia right now: A striped linen Reformation dress, Karen Walker sunglasses and flat Sarah Flint sandals. Practical, comfortable — and yet still completely appropriate for a royal.
