When photos didn't surface on Friday of Princess Eugenie of York in a second dress following her Windsor Palace wedding to Jack Brooksbank, many assumed she simply didn't have a separate reception outfit and planned to wear her fairytale-like Peter Pilotto gown for the entire evening. Obviously, those people were wrong. This was a royal wedding! A lack of instant gratification can make us think crazy things.
Images of the second dress arrived on Saturday when the Royal Family released official photographs from the day by fashion photographer Alex Bramall. Taken in the Royal Lodge ahead of a private evening dinner, the images show Princess Eugenie wearing a blush gown by American designer Zac Posen — the color inspired by an English rose. The bias-cut silk dress even features the White Rose of York embroidered onto the shoulder and back, which hold together the cape, according to the official Royal Family website. She accessorized with diamond and emerald drop earrings — a gift from the groom — as well an historic "hair slide" belonging to The Queen, who herself received it from Queen Victoria.
"It was an incredible honor to create this dress for HRH Princess Eugenie on her wedding day," Posen wrote on Twitter. "Her grace, elegance and strength perfectly embody everything I could hope for in a woman wearing our design."
The newly betrothed released three other official photos from the big day including one of the entire bridal party (featuring Prince George and Princess Charlotte!), embedded below.
