There's one item of clothing that does a superb job of bridging the gap between summer and fall, one that's sure to lend any outfit an air of sophistication: the trench coat. Over the weekend, Rihanna took the traditionally khaki fall staple for a ride in Dubai while hosting a series of events with Sephora for her Fenty Beauty line. For this Middle Eastern business trip, the beauty mogul put her own personal spin on the classic outerwear, as the pop icon is wont to do with her fashion choices.

She wore a custom Monse trench jacket as a mini dress while giving makeup tutorials and promoting Fenty's new Stunna Lip Paint shades. The twisted, sexed-up trench boasted a short hemline and a baggy silhouette, which made it possible for the singer to pull it off her shoulders. She then added a large crystal belt by Oscar de la Renta, along with a wrist full of chunky diamond bracelets by Sydney Evan, giant gold hoops by Lana Jewelry, rose-gold tinted rectangular sunglasses by George Keburia and custom Giuseppe Zanotti gold wrap-up stilettos.

Finishing it all off was Rihanna's makeup look, the details of which makeup artist Priscilla Ono shared via Instagram. It centered around a bold terra-cotta-red lip using Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint in Uncensored and glitter generously sprinkled all over her bare chest. For a subtle yet shimmery smoky eye, Ono layered on the "Cumin Get It," "Spice Trip" and "Sahara Stunna" shades from the Fenty Moroccan Spice Eyeshadow Palette. And to enhance Rihanna's natural glow, Ono used the brand's beloved Killawatt Free Style Highlighter in the "Girl Next Door" and "Chic Phreak" shades. The pop star was a simply a sparkly gold vision; perhaps that's just what happens when you're Rihanna and you've made it your mission to help women find and express their inner glow.
