On Monday night, a mix of the fashion industry's most established names and buzzy up-and-comers gathered at the Brooklyn Navy Yard to celebrate the 2018 class of CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalists. The event marked the 15th anniversary of the fund — which has been awarded to the likes of Alexander Wang, Joseph Altuzarra, Paul Andrew, Public School and Proenza Schouler in the past — and in addition to a sit down dinner, guests were treated to a special runway presentation featuring the work of this year's designer hopefuls.
The 2018 group of finalists spanned the categories of women's ready-to-wear, menswear, accessories and jewelry, and ultimately Kerby Jean-Raymond of Pyer Moss emerged victorious, taking home the $400,000 grand cash prize. The runners up, Bode and Jonathan Cohen, each received $150,000 to put towards their budding businesses. In addition, all of the winners are granted a year of mentorship, which will surely prove an invaluable asset when it comes to learning how to navigate a rapidly changing industry and retail landscape.
With so many bigwigs and tastemakers under one roof, it's not surprising that the red carpet was chock-full of memorable looks. See what all of the attendees wore to the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund announcement in the gallery below.
