Editorialist is looking for eager Spring interns that will be ready to begin an internship experience at the end of December/beginning of January. As part of an exciting start-up, this internship will provide a great deal of hands on experience while working closely with the founders of the business, the editorial, ecommerce and design teams. This candidate should have a strong work ethic and a great attention to detail. Interns will be exposed to different areas of the magazine and ecommerce site, but we are primarily looking for two types of candidates - fashion interns and graphic design interns.
The focus of the fashion intern's work will be to assist the editors and assistants on their day-to-day tasks ranging from trend & photo research, sample and order trafficking, drafting requests, checking inventory, assisting with social media, assisting in contact updates & scheduling, assisting with new inventory uploads & boutique creation, preparing for photo shoots, organizing/filing, brainstorming ideas for our What's New[s] section and to assist with our personal styling clients/concierge services.
The focus of the design intern's work will be to assist the art department with graphic tasks for the magazine's layouts, the site's email blasts, image sourcing/research, product uploads, image resize and website coding. Please note, you must have your own laptop with Adobe CC for use on-site and must be very familiar with Adobe suite. Basic familiarity with HTML/CSS is a plus in addition to a good understanding for print vs. web image requirements.
