Hesperios Is Hiring A PRODUCTION AND OPERATIONS MANAGER In New York, NY
Hesperios, Inc. is seeking to hire a qualified full-time Production and Operations Manager for its designer boutique store and cafe located in the SoHo District of New York City. Hesperios is a high-end, ready to wear knitwear collection for women and men that also produces an annual literary and art publication.
Store Management Responsibilities:
- Employee Scheduling and Management
- Organize and update Inventory and Production Systems
- Recruit, train and manage Store team
- Develop sales strategies
- Process deliveries in an efficient, timely manner
- Assist with in-house events and planning
- Staff performance evaluations and feedback
- Develop and maintain Hesperios Book publication
- Assist, maintain, and implement Employee Standards
- Establish and manage store level financial targets, costs, and KPIs to meet financial plan
- Analyze data and compile weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on store performance
- Develop and implement sales goals and structure guidelines for team
- Implement Store Opening and Closing procedures
- Assure that staff employees deliver excellent Customer Service
- Courteously and efficiently handle Customer Service issues
- Manage visual image of sale floor and its excellence at all times
Production and Operation Responsibilities:
- Oversee all Production planning, including daily communication and production status with factories located in the United States and internationally, including creating and maintaining production schedule
- Implement, maintain and follow-up with time and action calendars for pre-production/post-production and delivery schedules
- Ensure that all product is received with within the allocated delivery window and produced to highest standard
- Manage approval process (i.e., samples, trims, fabrics, etc.)
- Assist with sourcing fabric and trims
- Communicate with factories, graders and pattern makers, including factoring company to confirm terms prior to shipment
- Assist with office administration, logistics, correspondence, and budget management, including managing cash flow and production cycle
- Manage sales team to facilitate timely shipping and inventory control
- Communicate with wholesale team including confirmation of shipping information, packing lists, commercial invoices, and payment invoices at time of shipping
- Compile and manage Internal Database for style production identification and pricing
- Assist Designer in sourcing and counter sourcing
- Coordinate import and export goods produced to warehouses in the US and Lima, Peru
- Preparation of projections regarding collection to ensure margin targets are met
Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Illustrator (experience with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Zedonk a plus)
- Ambitious, energetic, detail orientated, collaborative with a strong initiative, a good eye for design and a desire to learn in a creative, fast-paced environment
- Must be a team leader, problem solver, organized and able to multi-task
- Understanding of cash control procedures (i.e., bank deposits, safe fund, and petty cash) and the payroll process including confidentiality
- Flexible to work a retail schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- 3-5 years of commensurate experience
- Spanish fluency preferred
