Ever since announcing her engagement to Prince Harry, the world's eyes have been fixed on Meghan Markle — and her style. We'll be following the Meghan Markle Effect™ with our column, "Meghan Markle Wore a Thing."
Prince Charles celebrates his 70th birthday today, and while we do hate to take the spotlight away from the future King of England on his special day, the Palace released special portraits to commemorate the occasion and we must point out that the women in his life brought their A-game to the shoot with Chris Jackson.
We're guessing this shot was taken sometime in the warmer months, considering the bare legs and bare arms (and lack of a noticeable baby bump on Meghan Markle!), and the matching color palette is charming. To coordinate with the crew's creams and blues, the Duchess of Sussex chose a bespoke Givenchy shift dress with a color-blocked strip of navy and a matching belt. While she looks perfectly regal in the first, more formal shot, we must confess a preference for the second, more candid photo.
Equally stunning is Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, who went with a cream and navy dress from Alessandra Rich — complete with polka dots and an oversized collar — and Camilla Parker-Bowles, the Duchess of Cornwall, in a cream dress with cap-toe pumps. Well done, ladies!
