In the lead-up to fashion month, I always get a little frantic with my shopping. I start hating pretty much everything I already own and try to pepper in more capital-F Fashion pieces than I normally would.

That's how I landed on Staud's "Grace" tote bag. I know a lot of people lean towards the brand's more structured pieces, but I found the vintage-like shape of this style, with it's drawn opening and twisted handles, to be quite charming. I ordered it in black patent-leather, and then promptly worried that it was too fashion and that I'd regret buying it as soon as the last model left the final runway of fashion month.

Instead, I've found myself completely obsessed with it. The size is just big enough to hold all my daily essentials, but it still feels dainty, and the closure retains its shape and structure, which was a nice surprise. The black patent feels slightly subversive but still plays well with my otherwise quite feminine wardrobe. All-in-all, it might be a perfect bag — which is why I'm already eyeing this lilac silk version. Hey, if you like something, buy it in every color, right?
