The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is nothing if not an over-the-top affair, so perhaps it should be unsurprising that the list of musical guests is longer than ever in 2018. After last year's event in Shanghai featured four performers — Harry Styles, Miguel, Leslie Odom Jr. and Jane Zhang — this year's show is adding even more to the lineup for a total of seven performers.
Bebe Rexha, The Chainsmokers, Halsey, Kelsea Ballerini, Rita Ora, Shawn Mendes and The Struts were officially announced on Thursday as the musical guests for the 2018 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in New York City. It's more performers than VS has had in recent memory, but when you're trying to make up for the fact that the headliner isn't a blockbuster name like Harry Styles, Rihanna, The Weeknd or Justin Bieber — all of whom have played the show in the past — perhaps the best bet is to say the more the merrier.
Will these musical acts be able to help the brand reassert its relevance and pull it out of the sales slump it's been battling for a few years now? Tune into the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on Sunday, Dec. 2 on ABC to see for yourself, and watch this space for more coverage.
