I recently noticed that I only have a few sweaters I really like and want to wear often, and they all have one thing in common: They're cropped. Blame high-waisted pants, blame my short torso, blame the fact that I wasn't permitted to wear things that "showed my midriff" in the early 2000s and Adult Me is still trying to rebel against my schoolteachers from that time period — but these days I really, really like short sweaters.
The latest to catch my eye is this dusty blue knit from Los Angeles label Christy Dawn. Made from a blend of "sustainably sourced Merino wool and cashmere," according to the brand, this sweater sounds like it'd be the right amount of warm and soft (and ethically made!). I like that the balloon sleeves make it feel a little bit unique without turning it into the kind of sweater that feels like an event to wear. Perfect for chilly days when I want to wear something casual and easy without feeling blah.
