Keira Knightley has come a long, long way since 2002's "Bend It Like Beckham." The actress received her OBE — that's short for Most Excellent Order of the British Empire — for her services to drama and charity at Buckingham Palace on Thursday. For the special occasion, she wore a very fitting outfit choice: Chanel Haute Couture, specifically a look from its Spring 2017 collection. Knightley swapped the runway outfit's silver heels for a subtle, nude pair from Chloe Gosselin and topped the entire ensemble with a matching tweed hat.
Interestingly enough, Anna Wintour also wore Chanel when she was honored and named a dame by Queen Elizabeth II last year — just days after hosting the Met Gala. But Knightley's ensemble was to be expected, as she's been a longtime ambassador and spokesmodel for the French luxury house.
Of course, Knightley's husband and parents showed their support for this new milestone, making for a lovely family photo. How cute would this be as their holiday card this year?
Congratulations, Keira! Now let's all watch "Love Actually" to celebrate this weekend.
