In early November, Marc Jacobs announced that he would be re-issuing the iconic 1993 "grunge" collection that got him fired from Perry Ellis back in 1993. Jacobs's fans and '90s era nostalgists were elated about the news, and it's certainly a smart play for the label to tap into the throwback fervor that's still going strong. The designer also opened a six-month "residence" on Madison Avenue in New York City on Nov. 23, allowing shoppers to experience the new Redux Grunge Collection 1993/2018 Marc Jacobs in person.

On Monday evening, Jacobs himself  — along with Sofia Coppola and Katie Grand — hosted a party to celebrate the store opening and the launch of Redux Grunge. In true Marc Jacobs form, the event drew an impressive, eclectic crew of fashion folks, all dressed in their Redux Grunge finest.

Gigi Hadid leaned into the '90s theme by pairing her striped suit and crop-top with space buns, as did Stella Maxwell, who wore sheer black tights and plenty of eyeliner with her slip dress. Layering was also a theme of the event's dress, with Mica Arganaraz wearing a cardigan over her tank top and Lindsey Wixson throwing a billowy short-sleeved dress over a long-sleeved shirt. Model siblings Kaia and Presley Gerber showed up in vintage band tees and jackets, each rounding out the grunge vibes with Docs and Converse, respectively.
