The promotional tour for "Mary Queen of Scots" kicked off on Monday evening in London, where the world premiere was held in Leicester Square. And if the event was any indication of what's to come, the film's cast is committed to serving up plenty of major fashion moments while making the red carpet rounds for their new project.
Margot Robbie, who stars as the titular character, kicked things off in a black-and-white polka-dot gown by Rodarte. Studded with crimson flowers at the waist and accented by subtle pleating and frothy ruffles at the hemline, the look was a stand-out piece from the label's Spring 2019 collection. Robbie, who often experiments with unexpected beauty looks, expertly paired the gown with a vibrant red lip to match the florals on her dress and a wash of sheer red eye shadow.
But Robbie wasn't the only one who made an impressive impact on the red carpet for the occasion: Her co-stars Gemma Chan and Saoirse Ronan both outdid themselves, as well. Drawing from a similar color palette (white or cream gowns with embellishments), Chan chose a silk Miu Miu gown with crystal detailing, while Ronan wore long-sleeve Carolina Herrera accented with smocked embroidery from the label's Spring 2019 collection.
