A couple of months ago, I found myself smack-dab in the middle of an exhausting hunt for new, plane-appropriate sweatpants. The conundrum was this: For my then-upcoming flight to Paris for Fashion Week with Tyler, I wanted to be comfortable, obviously, but still look put-together knowing that half the aisles would likely be filled with industry colleagues and acquaintances. Somewhere in my pursuit, I was pointed in the direction of Outdoor Voices's CloudKnit Sweatpants, which — to give away the ending — I now own in two colors and have worn basically every day since that flight across the Atlantic.
Let me first say they're called "CloudKnit" for a reason: The slim-fit construction is 89 percent polyester and 11 percent Spandex, meaning they have some give to them, but not so much that they unfurl after five-plus wash cycles. (Oh my god, they are so soft.) They're also made by Outdoor Voices, which means they're well-equipped for #DoingThings; later in the fall, I've worn them on chilly morning runs and not felt weighed down by excess pant material. (For runners looking for secure places to lug their phones, there's also a sneaky compartment in one of the pockets.) But most days, I wear them as loungewear, and I feel impressively put together doing so. There's nothing wrong with that, especially because these are the only sweatpants I wear these days.
