If you're dressing for street style photographers, one fail-proof way to get noticed is to wear lots and lots of eye-catching color. And while that trick was employed by plenty of people attending Fall 2019 shows at Paris Fashion Week Men's over the last few days, there was also a strong contingency of folks who went the opposite direction. Rather than relying on neons to make a statement, they adopted shades that are sometimes skewered as "boring" — think khaki, sand, camel and beige — and counted on their styling to add a little spice. Unique accessories, touches of unexpected color and all-over logos helped keep these looks from feeling blah.

Of course, it wasn't all neutrals all week. Virgil Abloh's latest collection for Louis Vuitton, for example, prompted the street style set to wear a whole rainbow of bright hues drawn from his debut collection for the house. And regardless of what show they were attending, many showgoers donned colorful statement coats, from bubblegum-pink puffers and red animal print parkas to fireman orange vests and lilac jackets.
