The most memorable moment of Wednesday's 2019 Brit Awards was unequivocally the one that involved Beyoncé: She recorded a remote acceptance speech (dressed in an excellent Peter Pilotto suit) that paid tribute to Meghan Markle in the most fitting fashion. It was an iconic, inspiring moment we'll probably be thinking about for weeks to come, but once we picked our jaws up off the floor after seeing it, we were able to take note of the other things that happened. Like, for example, the fashion.
Lots of beloved celebrities and fashion-world favorites were in attendance: Florence Welch wore a perfectly on-brand lace dress, while Dua Lipa, Suki Waterhouse and Winnie Harlow each went for more dramatic, full-skirted gowns. Leomie Anderson, H.E.R., Pink and Natalie Dormer decided on a slightly more casual dress code, wearing separates and long-sleeves (it's February, after all).
But women weren't the only ones having fun with fashion for the occasion; there were also plenty of noteworthy menswear moments. Host Hugh Jackman showed up in an impeccable, classic Tom Ford suit, while Sam Smith wore a pale, mint-green one, Liam Payne looked clean-cut in all black and Shawn Mendes wore a fitted gray suit layered over a casually unbuttoned shirt.
