Ever since announcing her engagement to Prince Harry, the world's eyes have been fixed on Meghan Markle — and her style. We'll be following the Meghan Markle Effect™ with our column, "Meghan Markle Wore a Thing."
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, the Duchess and Duke of Sussex, spent the last day of their royal tour in Morocco at the Royal Equestrian Club in Rabat, where they learned how equine therapy can help children and young people with mental health challenges. For the occasion, the Duchess re-wore an already sold-out casual khaki jacket from J.Crew, basic black jeans and matching heeled suede boots by Stuart Weitzman, which are on sale for $239. She then paired the military-inspired coat with a sold-out classic Breton top by Equipment.
To complete the casual look, the Duchess opted for dainty gold bar earrings by Ecksand, a Canadian fine jewelry brand, and a civilian-style ponytail fit for a workout or grocery shopping.
Later in the day, the soon-to-be royal parents headed to the kitchen to make Moroccan pancakes, where Markle ditched the jacket and put her springy striped long sleeve crewneck on full display.
And judging by the satisfied look on their faces, we'd say the pancakes were a culinary success. Here's to hoping the Duchess got to eat extra for her and the baby!
