From party-ready minis to classic leather carryalls.

From hotly-anticipated designer debuts to creative headgear, there was certainly a lot to take in at the Fall 2019 shows. But before we completely close the book on all the designer presentations from New York, London, Milan and Paris, let's take a moment to appreciate the bread and butter of the luxury industry: handbags.

The bag offerings this season was chock-full of elegant hands-free options, from quilted leather fanny packs and chain strap crossbody bags to purses that can be worn around your neck like a festival-style lanyard. For those who don't mind having one hand occupied, there were a range of cubic top-handle bags and gold-accented transparent trunk clutches, as well as an assortment of party-ready micro bags that may not carry more than a few mints and your phone, but feature outfit-boosting details like colorful crystal fringe, tiger stripes, feathers and snakeskin prints. Totes were just as loud, with many covered in shearling or painted in bold tones. And as for those who love a classic bag, labels like Fendi, Bottega Veneta and Hermès presented structured carryalls that are destined to become leather pieces that we'll see on the streets for many years to come.

From ultra-tiny mini bags to new takes on belt and bucket bags, we've edited down the season's offering to our 41 favorite standout styles. Check them all out in the gallery below.
