When Marvel Studios announced that it would be making "Captain Marvel," its first film to be led by a solo woman superhero, comics nerds and anyone who appreciates a strong female lead got very excited. But in the weeks and months leading directly up to the premiere, fashion fans have had plenty of reasons to get excited too, regardless of their feelings about action movies. Throughout the press tour, which wrapped this week, the film's stars have shown up on red carpets the world over in looks designed to wow.

As the film's lead actress, Brie Larson led the pack in this regard. Whether she was wearing a custom Valentino gown in London, a Rodarte dress covered in stars in Hollywood or an Oscar de la Renta ensemble in Singapore, Larson has looked the part of the leading lady. That's not to say her costars have let the ball drop. Gemma Chan's red Brandon Maxwell two-piece made a big impact at the film's London premiere, and the Ralph & Russo look she donned in Los Angeles, consisting of a pair of iridescent sequined pants and an asymmetrical flowing top, proved that a floor-length gown isn't the only way to look fancy. Lashana Lynch's neon pink Michael Costello gown and black Rita Vinieris dress kept up the tempo, too. While we're bummed this junket can't last forever, you can bet we'll be hitting up our local theaters to watch these women in action on the big screen very soon.
