They went from not even making the list in 2018 to being named top of the heap in 2019.

After three straight years of naming Kate Young Hollywood's most powerful stylist, The Hollywood Reporter declared on Wednesday that there's a new top dog in town — actually, two. That would be Tom Eerebout and Sandra Amador, who went from never making the cut for the publication's annual Power Stylists list before to finding themselves suddenly at the top of the heap.

How'd Eerebout and Amador rise through the ranks so quickly? By dressing Lady Gaga during a very, very memorable red carpet year for the entertainer. The Hollywood Reporter bases its rankings on "star power, style and social media," and there's no doubt that Gaga's looks have aced all three categories as of late. Whether it was her icy blue Valentino gown and matching hair at the Golden Globes or her oversized Tiffany & Co. diamond at the Oscars, Gaga was serving up looks that we couldn't stop buzzing about — and none of that would've happened without her trusty, talented styling duo.

Eerebout and Amador weren't the only first-timers to make appearances on the ranking, either: Van Van Alonso, who styles Mahershala Ali; Ade Samuel, who styles Michael B. Jordan and Letitia Wright; Ashley Weston, who styles Chadwick Boseman, Darren Criss and Kevin Costner; and Cheryl Konteh, who styles Idris Elba and Kate Winslet were all added to the list, too. There, they joined the likes of mainstays including Karla Welch, Jason Bolden and Elizabeth Stewart, mingling the next generation of talent with the established stars of red carpet magic-making.
