It's almost common practice these days for the street style crowd to wear the latest offerings of whichever designer show they're about to attend. In Milan, nearly every front-row attendee is dressed in head-to-toe Gucci, and most recently in New York, we noticed a slew of influencers wearing a certain vegan leather jacket from up-and-coming contemporary brand Nanushka.

Now that we're in Paris, we usually spot the usual marquee names: Dior, Chloé, Louis Vuitton and Chanel. On Thursday, we noticed a number of showgoers dressed up in chainmail, from slinky dresses and statement skirts to small shoulder bags and roomy totes. Consider it the Paco Rabanne Effect — the metal-made garment is a well-known signature of the brand. And what better way to show off its high sartorial appeal than during fashion week?
