Newlyweds Hailey and Justin Bieber are making the most of their "It" coupledom lately, especially when it comes to leveraging their relationship to bring attention to their fashion-related business ventures. The duo appeared together on the cover of the March 2019 issue of Vogue, right around the same time Justin took a step back from his musical career, focusing his creative energies toward his own very beige clothing line, Drew.
And now, it seems, the Bieber family is getting into the beauty business. On Monday, TMZ reported that Hailey's company has filed trademark paperwork for "Bieber Beauty," with the intention of using it to market a cosmetics line. It's worth noting that back in September of this year, she had already submitted an application to trademark the name "Hailey Bieber," so the model/influencer is clearly open to exploring a variety of potential business opportunities with her new married name.
While Bieber Beauty would mark Hailey's first foray into the beauty business under her own company, she has racked up plenty of experience with campaigns and ambassadorships, like any Insta-girl worth her weight in double taps: She currently serves as the face of Bare Minerals, has appeared in ads for L'Oréal Professionnel and worked with Aussie cosmetics brand Model Co. in the past.
The beauty sector has proven to be rife with opportunity for celebrities and influencers, with everyone from Kim Kardashian to Michelle Pfeiffer following the path Kylie Jenner and Rihanna forged by founding their own companies (rather than merely lending their name via licensing deals or collaborations). So despite the fact that it's both incredibly saturated and highly competitive, it's no surprise that anyone with name recognition wants to tap into the market. And we have to admit, "Bieber Beauty" does have a nice ring to it — never underestimate the power of alliteration.
