As much as I am ready for winter to be thoroughly and officially over, I am not the person who starts showing off bare legs as soon as the last snow disappears. For a special event, sure, I'll put up with a little cold for the sake of a fun look. But in my day-to-day, I'm kind of a wuss when it comes to weather. The main way spring has come to my wardrobe so far is in the form of me not wearing fleece-lined leggings under my pants anymore.
That said, I am ready for a little injection of spring-y feelings, even if it's not actually warm enough yet in New York to merit sleeveless tops and dresses without tights. That's why I'm eyeing these wide-leg pants from ethical artisan-driven brand Seek Collective. The fun color, breezy silhouette and gingham print make them feel decidedly un-winter-y, but I could still get away with layering them over leggings on days that start with nearly-freezing temperatures. Sounds like the perfect transition piece to me.
