KonMari is seeking a Social Media Assistant in Los Angeles

KonMari Media, Inc. was founded by Marie Kondo – tidying expert, bestselling author and star of Netflix’s hit show, “Tidying Up With Marie Kondo.”


  • Collaborate with Social Media Community Manager and VP of Content & Brand to engage, evolve and grow our audience on Instagram and other platforms
  • Help to source UGC for key company initiatives and in support of KonMari as a lifestyle brand, aligning with brand voice and aesthetic
  • Act as the voice of KonMari through the day-to-day commenting, liking, direct messages, replying and conversation moderation
  • Build a feedback loop on social conversation, community feedback and sentiment to inform future strategies across the business
  • Understand and meet key performance indicators, including engagement, branded hashtag submissions and follower/subscriber growth


  • Bachelor's degree or student in English, Journalism, Communications or equivalent preferred
  • Social media experience strongly preferred
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented
  • Superb communication and writing skills
  • Strong visual eye and creative taste level
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
  • Experience in the home, design or fashion space a plus
  • Hard working with a "no task is too small" attitude
  • Have a pulse on cultural dialogue – you know where the buzz is and where brands can play a role
  • Report to Los Angeles, CA headquarters 1-2 days a week
  • 20-30 hours/week
  • Available on occasional weekends
  • Hourly pay or school credit
