There was a time in my life, very recently, in which I avoided colors like orange and yellow like the plague. Well, I am not sure what changed, but sometime around spring's arrival, I turned a corner on citrus tones, and now I can't stop adding them into my wardrobe. That all kicked into overdrive when I saw Zendaya's latest look from stylist Law Roach.
[COLLECTIVE ZENDAYA APPRECIATION BREAK]
I mean! It's literally perfection, from the matching hair band to the white stilettos. Zendaya's dress is from Carolina Herrera's Resort 2020 collection, and it's available for pre-sale if you've got a cool $2,990 lying around. As it would happen, I do not, and I also don't have many occasions to which I can wear a minidress of this caliber, so I'm going for something a little more every day. The Elio dress by Staud ticks off all my summer boxes, from the breezy construction to the off-the-shoulder detailing, and while it's a brighter orange than Zendaya's tangerine dream look, I'm still really into it. Sure, I might pair mine with white Birkenstocks rather than Christian Louboutin pumps, but I'll be feeling myself either way.
Staud Elio Off-the-Shoulder Dress, $285, available here.
