Kylie Jenner is going to Paris. (And no, not just because she didn't want to end up like LC.) On Tuesday, Balmain Creative Director Olivier Rousteing announced that the label will be collaborating with Kylie Cosmetics ahead of its Spring 2020 runway show on Friday on a makeup capsule collection that includes eye shadow, lip gloss and lip liner.

What's more, Jenner will be serving as "artistic director" for the makeup look on the runway, and will be backstage overseeing the beauty team. In true see-now-buy-now fashion, the Kylie Cosmetics x Balmain capsule collection will be available the day of the show. Jenner will also be in attendance at a launch party at the Balmain store in Paris on Friday.

The product lineup will include a shimmery pink lip gloss (which will retail for $16), a matte lip kit with pink liquid lipstick and brownish-nude lip liner ($29) and an eye-shadow palette with nine powder shades ($42). The lip kit will also be sold as a bundle with the lip gloss for $38, while the bundle of the full collection will retail for $75.

This is far from either entity's first collaboration: Balmain has partnered with L'Oréal on a line of lipsticks, with Victoria's Secret on lingerie, with Beats on headphones and with H&M for a clothing line. Kylie Cosmetics, on the other hand, has collaborated with a long list of celebrities, both within the Kardashian-Jenner family and outside it. Both Jenner and Rousteing seem to agree that this partnership is a logical fit. "Launching Balmain cosmetics with Kylie allows us to gain a foothold in cosmetics in a totally unconventional way," Rousteing said in an interview with WWD. "Usually, people work with cosmetics giants, but we're doing it on a more intimate scale, because it's based on friendship." No doubt the shared Instagram clout doesn't hurt, either.

UPDATE, September 25, 1:57 p.m.: On Wednesday, Jenner went on social media to post a Notes App message to her followers explaining that she will not, in fact, be making her way to Paris for the Balmain show. "Unfortunately I'm really sick and unable to travel. I'm heartbroken to be missing this show," she wrote, going on to dutifully plug the collection and urge her followers to watch the runway show on Friday despite her absence. "I'm SO proud of this collection and of Olivier, and our friendship, vision and creativity really comes across in the products we created," she added.

UPDATE, September 26, 9:20 a.m.: Per Business of Fashion, Jenner was admitted to a Los Angeles-area hospital earlier this week with what an unidentified source described as "severe flu-like symptoms, including nausea and dizziness."

Jenner's representatives did not return BoF's request for comment on Wednesday.
