As if the Kardashian-Jenner family didn't have enough businesses under their belt, it seems like the only industry that's left for them to truly conquer — er, konquer — is resale. According to WWD, the five sisters and their momager, who revealed the news via Instagram, will be launching Kardashian Kloset on Friday. The online resale boutique will offer designer items straight from their (very designer-friendly) closets — we mean klosets.

On Kardashian Kloset's Instagram page, we already have a sneak peek of some pieces that will be up for grabs, including a Kith x Misbhv two-piece set and Off-White boots from Kylie Jenner, as well as a Gucci handbag from Kris Jenner. The family has dipped its toes into resale before; they've auctioned off their personal fashion pieces on such sites as Ebay with the proceeds donated to charity. However, little information on Kardashian Kloset (and where exactly those profits will be going) is available as of now.

The idea to dive into resale with their very own business seems like a pretty smart one for the Kardashian-Jenners: The industry has experienced a surge in mainstream popularity through 2018, and since then, resale sites have only thrived — despite some instances of potentially strained authentication practices. Venture capitalists have invested heavily in companies like StockX, Rebag, ThredUp, Vestiaire Collective, Grailed, Depop and more. Sellers on massive platforms like Poshmark are making a living off of their own resale businesses. Plus, resale is expected to be bigger than fast fashion within the next 10 years. All things considered, it seems like it would have been a missed opportunity for the Kardashian-Jenner family to not kash in (sorry, last one) on this growing market.

Stay tuned for the launch of Kardashian Kloset soon and we will update this post as we learn more.

UPDATE, Friday, Oct. 4, 9:55 a.m.: In an interview with Vogue Business, Kris Jenner's cousin Cynthia Bussey, also known as Cici on "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" and who closely worked with the family on Kardashian Kloset, revealed that the initial launch will only include fashion items from Kris, Kim and Kylie, ranging in price from $20 to as high as $9,000. Weekly drops will follow, and the offerings will expand with pieces from Kourtney, Khloe and Kendall's closets.

"First and foremost, we will start with the five girls and Kris, and then we could branch out into further collaborations like kids' clothing," says Bussey. With the trend of parents increasingly buying luxury items for their children, we think the opportunity to snag pieces from North West and Penelope Disick's wardrobes would be quite the hit.
