In case you missed it, Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon —who notably played sisters Rachel and Jill Green on a little show called "Friends" — have joined forces again for a new series, "The Morning Show," on Apple TV+. For its New York premiere on Monday, the two actresses donned LBDs (Aniston, a simple cowl-neck version and Witherspoon, a glitzy, gold-accented sequin strapless one by Celine) to walk the red carpet together show they can still pull off supportive sisterly vibes.
But because the show is Kind of a Big Deal, featuring a cast full of big-name celebrities, plenty of other noteworthy stars were in attendance as well. The red carpet displayed formal fall dressing at its finest: Naomi Watts wore a long-sleeve floral Miu Miu dress, while Bel Powley chose a tiered blue-and-white one (also long-sleeved and floral) from Simone Rocha's Spring 2020 collection. Some attendees, like Elaine Welteroth, Emmy Rossum and Wendy Williams wore tailored suits in fun, lighthearted color schemes, while others like Ashley Graham, Shantel VanSanten and Sarah Jones brought the drama in striking black gowns.
Then there was the always-wonderful Amy Sedaris, who layered a zip-up hoodie over her formal gown because, I mean, she's Amy Sedaris. It was also delightful to see plenty of actual morning show hosts — such as the aforementioned Williams, Harry Connick Jr. and Gayle King — show up to support a show shining a light on their very own industry.
