Billie Eilish has long since proven her affinity for clothing that obscures her body in layers of roomy cloth. On Sunday at the 2019 American Music Awards, she took that fashion-as-hiding-place theme a bit further with a Burberry bonnet, which featured flaps to hide the sides of her face and a glittery veil that partially obscured the front.
Eilish wasn't the only one who had fun with her wardrobe on Sunday, though. Halsey showed up in a colorful Marc Jacobs ensemble and bright eyeshadow that felt Met Gala-ready in terms of visual impact, while Lizzo displayed her signature combo of glam and humor in a custom Valentino dress accessorized with the literal tiniest of tiny bags ("big enough for my fucks to give," she commented on Instagram). Meanwhile Post Malone, Diplo and Lil Nas X kept the year's yeehaw vibes going strong in Western-inspired outfits and cowboy hats that featured neon green, zebra print, barbed wire patterns and plaid.
