Nanushka's recently opened New York City flagship is right around the corner from the Fashionista office. And while it's not exactly on my way home, the store is well worth the four-minute detour. The white-washed, two-story space welcomes you in with racks of the Budapest-based brand's beloved '70s-inspired basics. It's not crowded with clothes or people, and the plants are as cool as the label's vegan leather puffers.
On my most recent trip, I spent about thirty minutes admiring a belted satin jacket and high-waisted leather pants before finding my knit equivalent to a soulmate. I fall in love with sweaters all the time, but this one is extra special: It has a cool pearl zipper closure. The addition of the small glistening object makes the cropped half zip winter top go from good to great. Plus, I stan a turtleneck. I plan on wearing it with leather pants (which I have yet to purchase) or a good old pair of jeans and lug-sole boots (which I also have yet to purchase).
Nanushka Eria Wool-Blend Turtleneck Sweater, $395, available here.
