Title: Accessories Account Assistant
Position Reports To: Senior Account Executive, Account Director

Essential Duties

Client Relations

  • Assist each account lead(s) in requesting, organizing, and following up with clients for required seasonal assets and project-based collateral
  • Schedule and coordinate client appointments; attend client meetings and calls to take notes for detailed recaps
  • Responsible for proactively monitoring client press coverage as well as the timely creation & submission of press clips

Department Support

  • Sample Collections
       o Oversee and manage PR sample inventory process for all department clients
       o Ensure loans are tracked in Fashion GPS and client showroom/store pulls are recorded to maintain flawless inventory throughout the season
       o Coordinate UPS, FedEx pick-ups, messengers, or intern drop offs for timely sample requests, if necessary
       o Ensure Accessories showroom and sample closest are always kept tidy & merchandised
  • Reporting
       o Creating monthly client status reports templates and drafting Editorial sections that include sample/image requests, press garnered, upcoming press, etc.
       o Responsible for creation of seasonal Fashion Month trend reports
  • Provide administrative support to Accessories team, including but not limited to:
       o Sending through calendar reminders for team appointments and relevant industry dates/events
       o Ensuring the department’s Launchmetrics & Muckrack databases are updated
  • Interview, hire, delegate daily tasks and provide mentorship to seasonal interns
  • Support department in all duties related to client and press events, including:
       o Creation and maintenance of invite target & RSVP lists
       o Appointment confirmations
       o Event recap creation

Media Relations

  • Execute sample trafficking for all media opportunities with Senior Account Executives support
  • Confirm all credit requests in timely manner, secure client confirmation where applicable
  • Proactively communicate with press daily for upcoming product-focused opportunities
  • Ideate & draft weekly product trend/style blasts for Senior Account Executive’s approval
  • Organize and prepare media giftings while proactively monitoring for social support/coverage
  • Work with Senior Account Executives in identifying media coverage holes, missed opportunities, room for improvement, or potential issues
  • Collaborate with other editorial departments on various product-focused media opportunities (i.e. holiday gift guides, seasonal promotions, etc.)
  • Entertain fashion/market/stylist assistants outside of the office to develop and fortify media relationships


  • At least 1 year of experience in fashion public relations (internships or full-time work experience)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage several clients and their needs
  • Positive attitude
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook and familiarity with Fashion GPS is preferred
