PURPOSE

The Account Executive at Pitchblend assumes a critical role in the agency supporting the leadership team, while driving maximal results for its portfolio of fashion, lifestyle and entertainment clients. As an integral member of our agency, your primary responsibilities will be to execute media relations and day-to-day account activity across our client roster. You will also be vital in leading efficient sample management for select accounts and liaise directly with brand executives and clients on a regular basis. You are responsible for administrative duties with support from Account Coordinator(s) who you will also be mentoring, across a high-volume of campaigns and projects. You will also be required to work local and out-of-town brand event activations and initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA in Mass Communications, Public Relations or related field
  • 4+ years of PR experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-pressure PR environment
  • Experience working across consumer product/fashion/sneaker/lifestyle/ brands is highly favored
  • Experience working with fashion and lifestyle media is mandatory
  • Existing relationships with outlets like Hypebeast, Complex, HighSnobiety, Refinery29, Vogue, Dazed Digital, The FADER, Vice, Sneaker News and Sole Collector, as well as knowledge of the culture space is highly favored. 
  • Proficient in Google Docs, Sheets and Slides
  • Ability to contribute to creative brainstorms and higher-level strategy brainstorms

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execution of PR strategy across multiple accounts:
       - Devise campaign and media strategies
       - Media relations: actively pitch media to secure a wide range of weekly, meaningful coverage
       - Apply advanced written communication skills in pitch and press release writing, copy development and professional writing assignments
       - Copy-editing / proofreading of press materials
       - Facilitation of media interviews with clients
       - Management of seeding/gifting programs
       - Under management of Account Manager, lead all sample requests and sample pulls
       - On-site event management, event staffing
       - On-going, proactive database management and optimization
       - Growing and managing media and influencer relationships on a regular basis to advance client and agency objectives
  • Assist on the development and presentation of PR plans for clients
  • Maintain an expertise over the evolving media landscape to create plans that raise client profiles and yield maximum results across a multitude of media outlets and platforms
       - Innovate new offerings and best practices in support of maintaining and delivering maximum results on behalf of clients
       - Lead the identification and fostering of new media partners
       - Establish and maintain key media relationships with all relevant channels to increase client exposure at all times
  • Manage and perform all tasks, assignments and needs on behalf of Agency and client until completion in a timely and high-quality manner
       - Prepare for regularly-scheduled client status calls, and prepare next steps
       - Ensure that all emails/calls/requests from clients are responded to either by yourself or by the Account Coordinator in a timely, appropriate manner
       - Review and manage all client activities, objectives and tasks
  • Assist in the monitoring & coordination of campaign/ project calendar, timelines and key dates
  • Translation of strategies, objectives, tactics and plans into client presentations
  • Contribute to the development of new business and proposal opportunities when Agency is pitching/approaching potential clients
  • Monitor and analyze PR metrics and for every project and campaign, track results
       - Maintain overall progress and KPIs on accounts 
  • Conduct and carry out various research on clients and competitors throughout the year, flagging and sharing any relevant items with wider team
  • Collaborate with Agency executives to improve Agency culture, quality of work, address and identify issues and establish the most effective processes, etc.
  • Assist management team in the mentorship and development of team members
