She wore a Cartier necklace with 610 diamonds *backward* to the latest "Charlie's Angels" premiere in London.
Damn, is that a good look.
Plus, Sofia Coppola made a new film for Cartier.
Kylie Jenner has been trapped in her Cartier Love bracelet "for, like, four years."
Animals have been used in fashion ads since at least the 1800s. Why are they so prevalent? And should they be?
Diamonds are a girl's best friend, as is an internship at Cartier.
Also, remember "Shit Fashion Girls Say?" Disney sort of owns that now.
But what did you expect from the girl who designed a $34,000 backpack?
The thieves tried to make off with $710,000 worth of watches.
The future of Condé Nast internships may seem uncertain, but fear not: There are still a lot of great internships out there that will help you get your dream fashion job--and they're all posted right here on our careers page!
Emma Watson really is all grown up, as evidenced in her June 2013 W cover shoot, lensed by Michael Thompson. {W} We're not sure who got luckier--Prince Harry or Karolina Kurkova. The two shared a chaste smooch at a polo match on the last day of the prince's US tour. {US Weekly} Here's the 16-piece Kate Bosworth-inspired collection by Topshop, which the actress herself wore at Coachella in April. {Vogue UK} Rita Ora--who is kind of Madonna's doppelganger--is the new face of Madonna's clothing line, Material Girl. {The Sun}
John Malkovich is partnering with Yoox for a capsule under his Technobohemian menswear label. Seriously. {WWD} Cartier is (unsurprisingly) less-than-happy about the unauthorized line of beanies that turned their name into something naughtier. They're threatening to see the maker in court--presumably not next Tuesday. (C-U-Next-Tuesday--get it?) {HuffPo} Michelle Obama is supposedly going to wear Reed Krakoff for her rumored April Vogue cover. {Washington Post}
Kate stepped out yesterday flying the flag for Brit fashion and the Olympics in an outfit that could be a lesson to us all in tasteful theme dressing.
Back in the 90s, Shalom Harlow was everywhere--from Chanel campaigns to couture, she was one of the supers, (along with Kate Moss, Karolina Kurkova,
Kate Upton Dougied her way to viral fame and today, she's put us all in a trance Cat Daddying in an itsy bitsy bikini for Terry TV. *Sigh* But she i
In honor of the relaunch of its Juste Un Clou collection, and coinciding New York City in the '70s exhibit, Cartier decided to throw a little celebration. And by little, we mean really, really big. In fact, the only thing little about the entire evening was the endless array of passed hors d'oeuvres which, lucky for us, were never quite out of arm's reach. There were tiny wild boar thingies, little poached quail eggs, baby banana Nutella crepes, microscopic filet mignon, shrunken lobster pastries... must stop/mouth watering. Moving on... Juste Un Clou (which literally translates to 'Just a Nail') is a collection of rings and bracelets that are exactly that- the finest of fine jewelry (many loaded with diamonds, of course) molded into the shape of gracefully bent hardware that range in price from $2,175 to a whopping $34,650.
This information might come as a surprise to the folks over at Vogue Italia, but rappers have been vocal about their love for high-end fashion labels for years. And the love affair continues. On Nicki Minaj's latest album, Pink Friday 2: Roman Reloaded the bewigged rapstress shouts out Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour: When I'm sitting with Anna, I'm really sitting with Anna / Ain't a metaphor punchline, I'm really sitting with Anna / Front row at Oscar de la Renta, posture / Ain't a b*tch that could do it, not even my imposter And even more recently, fashion fanatic Kanye West boasted about his fashion exploits on his new track "Theraflu", from dinner with Anna Wintour to racing go karts with Anja Rubik:
It took Cartier nearly two years and a crew of 60 trained specialists to complete the brand’s first-ever short film, so it was a no-brainer that the l
They say diamonds are a girl’s best friend and the phrase couldn’t have felt more true last night as we headed over to the recently-opened Hotel Americano in far west Chelsea to gawk over the new Trinity de Cartier collection. As we walked into the basement El Privado lounge, we were nearly blinded by dazzling diamonds covering numerous variations on the iconic triple ring design. From the sexy and modern white gold, palladium and black ceramic versions that hit the boutiques this week (the “basic” non-blinged-out piece runs roughly $1500) to the hypnotically mind-blowing diamond-encrusted cuff bracelet that would set you back a cool $600,000. Cartier director of image, style and heritage Pierre Rainero was on hand to guide wide-eyed attendees through the impressive collection. The house of Cartier created the original Trinity ring back in 1924, so how does the team find the inspiration to keep things fresh?

Still obsessing over Catherine Middleton's Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen royal wedding gown? Those in London any time between July 23 and October 3 will get a chance to view the gown at Buckingham Palace, where it will be on display. The Royal Collection has confirmed that, along with the dress, Middleton's ivory silk tulle veil, Cartier tiara, McQueen shoes and Robinson Pelham diamond earrings will also be on view. Will you visit Buckingham Palace this summer just to get a look?
After a dismal 2009 with modest gains and quite a few brands experiencing losses, this year’s top ten luxury brand list should have companies brimming with optimism for the future.
Cartier’s Love bracelet is sort of the Birkin bag of jewelry. It's a fashion industry favorite, but also one of the brand’s biggest commercial successes. And it’s secured a place on the wrists of everyone from the Kardashians to the Roitfelds. So, naturally, if the Love’s simple design and symbolic message are so widely appealing, why should Cartier stop with the bracelet? Thankfully, they haven’t. Cartier’s been reincarnating the Love design since its genesis in 1969, in necklaces, earrings, rings, and new materials. “Strong design allows for evolution,” Pierre Raniero, Cartier's Director of Image, Style, and Heritage explained last night at a dinner to preview the new Love offerings.
There's been lots of talk in the past few months about flash sales sites shilling fake or grey market merchandise. However, we never expected HauteLook, one of the most respectable--and successful--sites around, to be caught up in this mess. Cartier, which is owned by luxury conglomerate Richemont, is suing the Los Angeles-based company for over $2 million, first reported this morning on SheFinds. According to court documents obtained by Fashionista--some of which you can review below--the Cartier watches sold by HauteLook are secondhand. One of Hautelook's selling points is that they work directly with the brands, and that they sell new--not used--merchandise, so Cartier feels that HauteLook has made false claims when it comes to the brand. To be clear, Cartier has not accused HauteLook of selling out-n-out fake products.
