I love a good biker jacket. Except sometimes the stiff, classic, black kind makes me feel, well, a little too much like a biker. Enter this gorgeous suede number from Club Monaco, in a dull green/olive color
Club Monaco has become one of our go-tos for relatively affordable clothes that look like they're designer. Now, the retailer is stepping it up even more in the high fashion department, with their own higher-end label, Club Monaco Collection, which launched yesterday online.
When I walked into Club Monaco this weekend, I was instantly attracted to the bold print of this A-line skirt. But how would I feel about it once I put it on? I was happy to find that the super cute print was not the only thing this skirt had going for it: It's also crazy flattering, hitting just above the waist (making your legs look longer) and stopping at the perfect point on my thigh.
We're big Club Monaco fans here at Fashionista--from clothes to accessories, the brand has pretty much been killing it over the past few seasons. This week, Joe Fresh celebrates its one year anniversary doing business in America. In my homecountry of Canada, Joe Fresh, founded in 2006, is already a really big deal, with 300 stores nationwide and a dedicated following eager to snap up its fashion-forward, super affordable duds. While it's new to the States, it's wasted no time in following a similarly lightening fast expansion: In just 12 months, Joe Fresh has launched four standalone stores in New York and opened up 680 shop-within-shops at JC Penney. It's a dizzying pace, but as I learned on Wednesday, when I spent the morning hanging out with founder and creative director Joe Mimran at the company's New York headquarters, that's just kind of how he rolls.
