From pussy bows and neck warmers to elongated sleeves and sleeveless coats, Paris has you... covered.
Ungaro's spring 2015 gown looks a little familiar.
It's been a long road -- almost two months! -- but now we can finally tell you that you'll soon be seeing green while wrapped in a blanket coat. It's more stylish than it sounds.
Anchoring the month of fashion weeks is no easy feet, but Paris has never shied away from the challenge. With the longest line-up of presentations (beating out even NYFW) and arguably some of the largest scale productions, there's a LOT to take in. From the season's newfound artistic inclinations, to some "fringe benefits," we've distilled the best-of-the-best from The City of Lights. Click through the slide show to enjoy the feast…Bon Appétit!
Emanuel Ungaro's press team might have an angry supermodel to answer to soon.
Celebrities who attended last night's ceremony seemed really confused on dress code--was it prom (looking at you, Jersey Shore cast)? the Oscars? a fancy rave?--but whatever they wore, it was at least entertaining to look at. From the totally tame to the nearly-nude, here's every look from last night's VMA ceremony.

Ungaro Can't Catch a Break: It hasn't been a good start to 2012 for Emanuel Ungaro, which announced that, in addition to not being able to deliver its spring collection to retailers, it also won't be presenting a fall collection at fashion week and has canceled all appointments for pre-fall. Current owner Asim Abdullah vaguely stated that the brand is going through an "internal reorganization" that will allow for Ungaro to become "profitable in the near future." Hmm... This seems suspiciously (and perfectly) timed for former Ungaro guest-designer Lindsay Lohan's 2012 comeback. Coincidence? {WWD} Fashion's Night Out is September 6: Yep, it's happpppennning... Fashion's Night Out 2012 will be Thursday, Sept 6. Mark your [Blackberry/iPhone] calendars! {Fashionista Inbox} Christian Siriano's Bridal Debut: Check out the Project Runway alum's first bridal design, part of an exclusive collection he's doing for Nordstrom. While the gown in no hot tranny mess, it definitely looks a bit tamer than what we're used to seeing from the fierce designer. Here's hoping he goes all out on the rest of the looks. {Glamour}
Things aren't looking good at the house of Emmanuel Ungaro. In fact, they haven't for a while. Just three months after Giles Deacon left his roughly year-long tenure as creative director, WWD is reporting that the company's new CEO, Jeffry Aronsson, is leaving, as well as much of the house's advisory committee. Aronsson has only been with the company since June and was brought in with the hopes of turning the failing company around, as he is considered to be a "turnaround expert," based on successful CEO positions at Donna Karan International, Marc Jacobs International and Oscar de la Renta previously.
When I went to the prom over a decade ago, Marc by Marc Jacobs didn't exist. Our options were thus: Caché, Jessica McClintock, BCBG and if your mom could afford it, Betsey Johnson. Of course many of us opted for vintage. I, for one, wore a gunmetal gown with a little black cardigan on top, inspired by a Calvin Klein ensemble Gwyneth Paltrow chose for a red carpet appearance in the late 1990s. But then there's Steff, who wore Marc Jacobs collection to her prom. (Yeah, that's right. She wore the dress again last year to the Whitney Art Party. It's amazing.) Leah spent a pretty penny, but wasn't as happy with the results. "I bought (what I then considered) a very expensive beaded BCBG gown. I also thought it was the prettiest dress ever," she says. "Then coming back from a boozy pre-graduation beach week in Delaware (which is some DC schools' ritual) my friends and I stopped at a Loehmann's and I bought a slutty, pink postage stamp of a dress for $50 and wore that instead." Don't worry though, she wore the pretty BCBG dress to a wedding, and had a fever on prom and went home early so the slutty tube dress didn't get much play. But even if we loved our dresses, there are so many amazing options out there now--from Target to Forever 21 to H&M--that we're pretty sure we could have found something even better if we were graduating in 2011. Stepping into Brood's Spring 2011 presentation was like stepping into an elite club where only the fashion industries heavy-hitters were welcome. Sally Singer, Vera Wang, Zac Posen, and Mario Grauso were all in attendance. Honestly, nothing less should have been expected. After all, Brood is is the brainchild of Serkan Sarier, a graduate from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp--one of the most prestigious fashion schools in the world. Some notable grads of the Royal Academy include Ann Demeulemeester, Dries Van Noten, and Martin Margiela, so you can imagine what editors expect from an Antwerp scholar.
The fedora and its smaller-brimmed siblings, the pork pie and trilby, really must die. This trend has reached its saturation point. Much like the Ray-Ban Wayfarer, one can argue that the fedora is a classic item that will never really disappear. This may be true...to an extent. The fedora first came into fashion in the 1880s as an accessory for women. Then it fell out of favor with the girls, and men co-opted it in the 1920s. The fedora had a long run of popularity, eventually fizzling out as a common menswear item in the early 1960s. However, it has reared its jaunty head frequently in popular culture since then. The Blues Brothers. Indiana Jones. Annie Hall. Freddie Krueger? Yes, icons all. But no one really wore the hats in real life. They felt costumey.
