With the Met exhibit just around the corner, we're expecting to see a lot of celebrities in Prada. While it might be difficult to imagine some of those runway frocks on the red carpet (we don't see dresses over pants as a go-to for celebrities), it doesn't mean that the brand is without its fair share of red carpet moments through the years. Quite the opposite. Prada is the seminal red carpet brand, in a way. The watershed moment in celebrity red carpet styling came in 1995 when Uma Thurman, styled by Barbara Tfank, wore a simple yet elegant lavendar gown to the Oscars (a.k.a. the dress that launched a thousand celebrity stylists' careers). It was with this appearance that Prada became a household name overnight.
