The cat as a model as a muse.
Thanks to '90s nostalgia and the fashionable rise of sportswear, white sneakers are very on trend this summer.

As she transitions into acting, she wants to play "strong" female roles. Right on, Cara.
And the Beckham family's latest home is predictably gorgeous.
Sorry to bandwagon, but look at those locks.

In the accompanying story Dell'Orefice says she's scored more covers in the last 15 years than she had "in all the years before that." We think he succeeded. {T Magazine}
It's summertime (well, not quite, but it definitely feels like summer right now) and that means some of music's hottest acts are hitting the road to play a stage near you. So what're you gonna wear?

The first official day of "spring" is tomorrow. Apparently. (With another snow day yesterday we're starting to doubt spring will ever come.) Even t
Talk about a model apartment: Cara Delevingne and Georgia May Jagger are reportedly moving in together. Mulberry may have been the first high-end brand to cash in on Lana Del Rey's sultry signature style, but it turns out that getting a $1,000+ namesak
Sneakers are having a moment--and not just in wedge form. Classic sneaker brands like Keds, Bensimon, Nike and others are infiltrating the fashion world via collaborations with hip designers, brands, retailers and people. These collabs have succeeded in doing what collaborations do best--bringing a little more relevance to brands who’ve been around for a while and in many cases opening them up to new audiences. Just yesterday, PF Flyers launched the latest video in their Authentic American Style series, in which NYC fashiony photographer/it girl Rachel Chandler talks about her style and shows us how cool she looks in shoes from the heritage athletic footwear brand, which has been around since the '30s. The day before that, J. Crew and Madewell debuted their latest casual sneaker collabs with Soludos and Bensimon, respectively, in cute, springy colors.
Surprise! Classic footwear brand Keds is really making moves this year. They recently launched their first foray into clothing with Opening Ceremony (
In this day and age, everyone can probably admit to being just a wee bit addicted to social media sites like Facebook and Twitter. (Go on, you can admit it. This is a safe space.) So it's only natural that our internet obsessions would find their way into our wardrobes one day. And friends, that day is today. Copyranter found these genius social-media-themed Keds, designed by graphic designer Lumen Bigott. Biggot created four styles designed to rep our favorite social mediate sites: Twitter, Facebook, Wikipedia and Google Buzz, and they are amazing. Sadly they are still concept-only and have no prospect of going into production. But we have faith that will change soon (pretty, please?), because c'mon, who wouldn't want to wear a Facebook friend request on their feet all day!? So Keds, we hope you're listening. You need to get on this shit already! Click through to see all the styles.
Keds Goes Back to The 90s: Keds has released a limited edition collection of sneakers called "Alternative to Everything." We're absolutely smitten with these 90s-inspired sneakers, which come in acid wash blue, gray denim and red plaid. {Refinery 29} Copied Dye Job: Christina Hendricks told Harper's Bazaar that way back when she was a model, she told Karen Elson that she should be a red head and gave Elson her formula. Now Elson's confessed that Hendrick's did, in fact, inspire her to go red. {The Cut} Lanvin x H&M Drama: When Jennifer Lopez and Madonna both asked to "borrow" (i.e. have it before anyone else) pieces from the Lanvin x H&M collection, they were told that no one was allowed to wear the collection before the runway show on November 18. If this is true, then why were a few British celebs pictured wearing pieces from the collection at London's Lanvin preview? Sure, Roisin Murphy and Sohpie Ellis-Bextor are celebs, but they're no Madonna. What gives? {Elle}
Gap is the latest brand to collaborate with Keds, and their adorable line of bold colored sneakers are in stores now (we're loving the denim pair). Sneakerheads are usually dudes, but we noticed that there seems to be a glut of cute girly sneakers out there. I'm wedded to my Bensimons. Lauren loves her Keds. We narrowed down the growing girly sneaker market to a few of our faves. Which pair would you rock?
Though the tribal print trend seems to be heading out the door, there is something so cute and chic about the ikat print specifically that makes us want to wear it in as many ways as possible. It's been on a few runways recently, including as Dries Van Noten, Gucci, Marc and Balenciaga. Our love for ikat blossomed even more yesterday when we checked out Cynthia Vincent's upcoming Resort 2011 accessories collection, which was full of the colorful print. See above for our inspiration and click through for some more accessible examples that you can buy right now.
