Every collection has its stand-out piece (or pieces) and for the Pre-Fall 2014 collection showcased by two-year-old label Nonoo, it was a pretty, color-infused take on the trench dress.
“The starting point was really the German artist Gerhard Richter,” explained CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund nominated designer Misha Nonoo of the origins behind her pastel and lame-filled Spring 2014 collection. “He’s technically so brilliant as a painter, but more than that, he’s kind of broken boundaries and moved past things—he never lost his sense of play.” This defining playfulness (and the creative drive that underlies it) was the fluttering heart of Nonoo’s Spring girl.
