The 4 Most Buzzed About Shows From Day 1 of New York Fashion Week
The curtain rose on New York Fashion Week at Lincoln Center's Theatre and Stage Thursday, but Report Card knows there was an awful lot of good style action happening among emerging designers presenting Wednesday--or Day 0. Critics were especially jazzed about Billy Reid alum Charles Harbison's Aaliyah-African diaspora-Yves Klein-prepster mashup and CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund nominee Veronica Beard's decision to blow out their blazer-and-dickeys into an eightiesrific full collection. On the official first day of fashion week, fashion's Midwestern eccentrics Shane Gabier and Christopher Peters blew into town with an infectiously ebullient ode to Hyperborea, a utopia where the sun always shines, and Richard Chai got some love from critics for his lightest collection in a number of seasons.

Style Advice I Learned from My Father
Dads. They get some pretty funny ideas about style. Like that wearing Hawaiian shirts is acceptable year-round. Or that socks with sandals is a totally cool look. But, though they may not be the most obvious style icons in our life, they've certainly passed down their own brand of sartorial wisdom--for better or worse. So, in honor of Father's Day, we asked our favorite fashion and celebrity friends--from Leandra Medine and Olivia Palermo to Wyclef Jean and Richard Chai--to share the most memorable style advice they ever got from their dad.

Richard Chai Love Fall 2013: New York Collection, Hollywood Front Row
Richard Chai, the man, and Richard Chai, the label, both embody the kind of urban cool-ness synonymous with New York's downtown scene. So it was a little surprising to LA types like Ashlee Simpson and Maggie Grace wedged in between Christina Ricci (Chai's friend) and perennial cool girl Leigh Lezark in the front row at his Fall 2013 show.
Attend New York Fashion Week From Your Couch: A Complete List of Shows Livestreaming This Week
New York is unreasonably cold right now. Like impending-blizzard-freeze-your-Rag & Bone-covered-butt-off cold. This is exactly why we, and fashionistas nowhere near New York, are praising the fashion gods (more like IMG & various PR people) for the glorious amount of New York fashion week shows livestreaming this week. We wrangled 89 shows (89!) and presentations to tune into over the course of the next week...with even more coming in! The best part? You won't be judged for taking in these shows in your pjs over some popcorn or pizza or half a bottle of wine... See any shows we missed? Let us know!
Kristen Stewart Said Something Positive, Scott Schuman Critiques his Holiday Gifts, Taylor Swift Turns 23
Kristen Stewart said something nice! About fashion! We wish she would stop wearing sneaks on the red carpet, but we'll take what we can get. {HuffPo} Hilary Duff is really benefiting from those prenatal vitamins, as she was able to give up something beloved by all Hollywood starlets: Her hair extensions. {US Weekly} Scott Schuman, the man behind the Sartoralist, sounds like he might possibly be the hardest person ever to shop for. {Refinery29}
Emma Stone, Karlie Kloss and More Hit the Red Carpet at the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards

The 3 Most Buzzed About Shows From Day 1
