Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Rita Ora already have this young New York-based designer on their radars. Now it's time for you to get familiar.
Worshippers will find continued reasons to keep the faith in the "high priestess of Goth opulence", as coined by Style.com. Although her new collection is a little lighter, acolytes (like Lady Gaga) will be pleased by LaPointe’s continued exploration of the sinister and dark, this time, via the inspiration of the deli. Yes--the deli.
We kicked our day off bright and early with the debut of the first ever plus size fashion line to show at fashion week, and never slowed down. From checking out the best beauty backstage at Rag & Bone and Helmut Lang, to scoping models-off-duty, we saw a lot. Check out all the awesome stuff we saw on day two of New York Fashion Week:
New reviews and galleries are in! Check out Helmut Lang, Sally LaPointe, and Carmen Marc Valvo.
As a seasoned livestreamer, running home from school everyday (and sometimes during lunch period) to catch a show made me feel like I was sitting front row, but without the annoying crowds.
If you've watched Bridezillas, you know it's difficult to plan a wedding. Every detail is mulled over ad nauseam: the music, decor, seating arrangements, the dress, and, of course, the invitations. Fashion Week is kind of the same way. Design houses are in a frenzy, burning Lana Del Rey MP3s, obsessing over the set design, sitting in on model castings, making sure the most prominent editors get choice seating, and sending out creative invites to garner excitement (rather than panic attacks) over the several shows they will have to sit through and ultimately, report on. Just as every bride wants her invitations to capture the essence of her wedding, designers are behooved to get a little creative with their invites. To show you how funky some brands get, we've compiled the most interesting invites we've received. From embossed flasks to digital picture frames, click through for the fashion show invitations that got us most excited.

New York Fashion Week has officially begun and as we've learned, more designers are showing than ever before. New York seems to breed new talent at an alarming rate compared to other cities. And while that may irritate established designers and make our schedules that much more insane, we love nothing more than being surprised and blown away by a name we'd never heard before. Still, it can be tough to filter out the real talent from the ones who will fade into the background. All it takes to show a collection is time and money, but to show one that makes us want to see more--that takes something special. So, for the second year in a row, we've handpicked 15 relatively under-the-radar designers showing this week who we think are worth paying attention to. Click through to learn about each one and why we think you'll be seeing a lot more of them for seasons to come.
