Few fashion designers today are as magical as the Brooklyn-based Samantha Pleet. With an obsessive love of history and travel, Pleet designs to enchant her customers. I wish I could say that Amanda Pearl's presentation featured lots of pearls and Samantha Pleet showed lots of pleating. Unfortunately, neither of these things is true. And the two presentations had nothing in common other than the fact that they both occurred yesterday evening and featured an abundance of cute things that I wanted. Though the tribal print trend seems to be heading out the door, there is something so cute and chic about the ikat print specifically that makes us want to wear it in as many ways as possible.
