Italian luxury brand Trussardi has parted ways with designer Umit Benan, who was appointed creative director in 2011, Business of Fashion is reporting. This wouldn't necessarily be big news--Trussardi, despite being a popular heritage brand in Italy, flies relatively under the radar on the international scene, and the brand released a statement saying the split was mutual--except that Benan has exacerbated the situation with some telling tweets. You see, it seems the departure was not as amicable as Trussardi's official statement made it seem--a fact, which Benan has made clear on Twitter.
