Amanda Forastieri doesn’t remember the exact moment she knew that fashion design was her calling, but she was always interested in art since a child. But the handwritten note to herself in the 6th grade was pretty clear, "When I grow up, I want to be a fashion designer" and Forastieri hasn’t looked back since.
Forastieri enrolled at Drexel University and was nominated for a Design Excellence award her freshman year. Forastieri graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Design.
Titled Utopia, Forastieri hopes that her Supima collection will serve as a messenger of a better future after the crisis. Her collection aims to portray the hopeful story of a near future post-COVID in which humans unite to build a new system, one that stems with love and respect for the planet and, most importantly, each other.
