Jenny Feng caught the fashion design bug in high school after volunteering to make dance costumes for her friends and feeling a sense of satisfaction at seeing her work on stage. Feng quickly taught herself to use a sewing machine, and with the help of her grandmother’s caretaker, learned how to install a zipper.
Feng attended FIT in New York City where she received an Associate’s Degree in Fine Arts and a certificate in Haute Couture. Feng’s design specialty is Conceptual Fashion.
The theme of Feng’s Supima collection is Domesticity where she explores the dichotomy between protection and chaos. Feng looks to manipulate and distort her fabrics in the hopes to explore a new landscape in design.
