We kicked our day off bright and early with the debut of the first ever plus size fashion line to show at fashion week, and never slowed down. From checking out the best beauty backstage at Rag & Bone and Helmut Lang, to scoping models-off-duty, we saw a lot. Check out all the awesome stuff we saw on day two of New York Fashion Week:
You are cordially invited to the royal runway show! The Queen will host a public catwalk show next year at Buckingham Palace as part of the celebration for the 60th anniversary of her coronation. {Vogue UK} Kanye West wasn't around when Kim Kardashian cut her new bangs--but he usually plays a "huge part" in important styling decisions of that nature. {US Weekly} Nicki Minaj gets a major make-under for the April cover of Elle. {Elle} It's spring cleaning for Gwyneth Paltrow--the GOOPstress is selling some of her own (gently worn!) clothes and accessories for charity. Hopefully little Apple is still too young to understand what her mom's doing. {GOOP}
This weekend's MTV European Music Awards certainly served up an interesting red carpet. And by interesting we mean very tight, very shiny, and very Ibiza (Eebeeetha). It is the European Music Awards after all.
1. Wouldn't it be more appropriate to actually play the Alicia Keys songs they're talking about while the girls are walking? 2. Kristin, do you actually think in the 'real world,' PRs threaten to murder you if you 'embarrass' their clients? 3. Doesn't the money raised by bidding have more to do with the clothes each girl is wearing than their runway walks? 4. Can you imagine attending an Alicia Keys concert with Kiara? How annoying would that be? 5. What about this poor guy who's going to need stitches? Shouldn't we be more concerned about this??
A few weeks ago, WWD reported that Jessica Chastain had nabbed Vanity Fair's coveted September cover. Well, turns out it was only half right. Chasta
At last night's Billboard awards the stars brought the glam--and the fug--hard. The result was a red carpet that was as entertaining as it was varied. Case in point: Miley Cyrus showed up wearing nothing but a tuxedo jacket--seriously--while Carrie Underwood sported a princess-y gown with a massive, tulle skirt. What's more, the red carpet ushered in some memorable looks from stars, both new and old, we don't get to see every day: Brandy showed up working a Tina Turner-esque look, while Carly Rae Jepsen landed herself on our 'one to watch' list with a nude floor-length gown. Click through to see the most memorable looks from the night.
Alicia Keys has been popping up all over Paris Fashion Week. As Derek Blasberg tweeted, "Jeez, Alicia Keys has gone to as many shows as I have this season." Keys made an appearance at Givenchy, where she caught up with W editor Edward Enninful. Photogs snapped the two in a handhold, which apparently means the two are having a steamy affair. At least, that's what Media Takeout would like you to think, as they posted those photos under the headline "UMMMMM . . . This Could Be NOTHING . . . But . . Why Is R&B Singer ALICIA KEYS Holding Hands With THIS DUDE?????"
