It's the most wonderful time of the year! Again!
And Paper has released its list of the Most Beautiful People of 2015.
With her first Stateside store now open in New York, the Parisian designer opens up about her first big break, and why she chose Manhattan over Los Angeles. At least to start.
Thanksgiving is a notoriously hard holiday to dress for because it requires sitting at a dinner table for hours with relatives who you only see once a year while simultaneously trying to consume unreasonable amounts of food and/or liquor. This presents a unique problem: dressing to impress your distant family while maintaining a level of comfort that is conducive to eating and sitting for long periods of time. While we all know Thanksgiving isn't the time to break out our best Carine Roitfeld-inspired look--too tight for face-stuffing!--finding a fashionable alternative to sweats can be difficult. We've pulled together the most stylish items that are comfy, chic, and won't disturb your proper Grandma. (So don't wear your Balenciaga Darth Vader visor, ok?) Of course our list includes Stella McCartney, the legendary mixer of casual and elegant, our favorite button downs from Madewell, a hat trick of cute shoes, and a Céline t-shirt--because a girl can dream, right? Check out all the Thanksgiving-friendly options in our slideshow!
Personally, I've been obsessed with Aurélie Bidermann's Do Brasil bracelet for nearly two years now. I wrote about it on one of my first posts for Fashionista, and my admiration has never waned. So it's with great pleasure that I've perused Bidermann's Do Brasil capsule collection for Donna Karan's Urban Zen brand. The line, which features muted tones that complement Urban Zen's earthy aesthetic, isn't just for show: 10% of all sales will go to the Urban Zen Foundation, which helps to preserve cultures and empower children across the globe. (Prices start at $440.)
Friendship bracelets are having an extended moment. They've come a long way from my camp cabin, where my friends and I would knot bracelets using our big toes as hooks (I promise it seemed normal). Vena Cava's SS 2010 invites were friendship bracelets. Lucky editor Jenny Kang's line Bracelets by Dad, has graced the wrists of Alexa Chung and Leighton Meester. Lauren is mad for Parisian designer Aurelie Bidermann's 'Do Brasil' bracelet which knots gold links right in with the colorful embroidery thread. Now J.Crew has partnered with Frieda & Nellie to produce a line of one-of-a-kind friendship bracelets that have rhinestones and metal woven into the embroidery thread. We wouldn't mind if our besties gave us any of these.
