If you're a cheating woman and you need to know what to wear this summer to fit in with your floozy peers, you're in luck. Ashley Madison, the extramarital dating site, recently conducted a study exploring the relationship between fashion and female philanderers. 52,390 cheating women (presumably Ashley Madison members) responded to the survey, and the results are pretty fascinating--and also somewhat unexpected.
Though it's certainly not illegal to sell, buy, or wear fur; it may be illegal, not to mention misleading and potentially imoral, for a company to publicly present itself as fur-free and then continue to sell products containing fur. This, PETA alleges, is what Bebe is doing.
With the popularity of bridal fashion at an all-time high (honestly, what did we do before Bridesmaids and Say Yes to the Dress marathons?), even the most affordable and unlikely of stores are getting in on the wedding bliss. J.Crew launched its well-received bridal collection in 2010, followed by the debut of Anthropologie's BHLDN wedding site in 2011, and most recently, Topshop released the plans for its first bridal collaboration with designer Richard Nicoll. Late last year, mall mainstay (and oft-mispronounced-- BayBay? Beeb?) Bebe announced its plans for a brand overhaul-- more class, less Kardash-- including the introduction of a bridal range. To shush the naysayers (there were bound to be plenty), Bebe wisely enlisted the aid of draping extraordinaire and Project Runway alum Rami Kashou to design the debut collection. We caught up with Rami at the Bebe store in Soho last night to chat about his new bridal collection, which he sees as the "perfect marriage [Ed. note: puns!] for both [he and Bebe]."
Bebe Waves Buh-bye to Kardashians? The Kardashians by Bebe line might be coming to an end. “The sisters do still have relevance,” said Bebe president, Emilia Fabricant, “but at Bebe we need to move with fashion and we want to be first in the fashion world with everybody else and not fall behind. We are definitely assessing the situation.” {WWD subscription required} Kanye Wants To Tour in Balmain: Hint is reporting that Christophe Decarnin for Balmain will design all of West's costumes for his upcoming tour. {Hint} The 12 Days Of Giving: Starting Friday, December 17, Theory will be having a 12-day flash sale featuring one item from their current collection per day at 50% off.
